Can You Have An Apple Iphone And Be On A Different Network?

I really want a iPhone, but I am currently using vodafone. If I changed my network it would then mean I don’t get free calls between me and my family. Is it possibly to have an iPhone but still be on my currrent network?

It is possible to “Jailbreak” an iPhone to unlock it and allow you to use it on another network, but many of the features will not be the same once that’s done.
It’s also against the user agreement and will void your warranty. On top of that, you’ll have to pay the full $600/$700 price for the phone if you don’t sign a contract when you buy the phone.

Go to iclarified.com and look for iPhone unlocking under tutorials. I have always unlocked my iPhone and I am not exactly IT trained and i live in Africa.
