Would The Apple Iphone Connect To The Internetwith A Router Signal?

I just got an iPhone 3G today and i have a belkin wireless router in my house. Would the iPhone work using a wireless signal (My plan didnt give me internet, but i accidently opened Safari and it asked me if i want to use the router as a wireless signal)? Or is it impossible to connect to home internet and I have to pay for the 3G internet?

As ~Ana said, as long as you can receive the wi-fi signal, you can connect to the Internet through wireless LAN. Although, turning the wi-fi ON consumes battery really fast so I always make sure to have wi-fi turned OFF when my iPhone is not connected to a power source…

Yes, the iPhone actually works better with wi-fi rather than 3G; it’s faster. The only problem with that is that you can ONLY use it when you’re connected to wi-fi, basically it’s like an iPod Touch, you kinda miss out on all the fun of using internet anywhere you are (except outside of your country)
I have an iPhone and I had to get the data plan, to be honest it’s better because it’s unlimited (I live in the US) so I can use it anywhere. Like I can watch videos on YouTube, if I get lost I use maps to guide me back to my house, I can play games that use internet connection anywhere, etc. Unless you live in another country other than the US I really recommend getting a data plan from your provider, it’s unlimited date and not THAT much compared to other countries where it is limited. But if you stay home or you’re at a place where you always have access to wi-fi, then don’t get the data plan for 3G access.
