Mobile Phones – You Paid How Much?

It’s time for you annual mobile phone change. Your contract is running out and you start looking around the reviews sites and leaflets to see the ‘next big thing’.
You don’t want to be left behind, you don’t want anything old and, heaven forbid, cheap looking! Damn it, you are important and you will spend whatever it takes to get that silver dream mobile machine.
£200 outlay and £40 a month you say? Bargain. After all I get 40 hours of free speech to other people and 6 billion texts included and the girl in the shop said it looked good on me. You can watch telly on it, it’s even got sat nav and the funny little noises it makes are fantastic. Look! it turns into a mirror too!
So moving on 3 weeks after you buy you new piece of kit, it sits in your pocket and hums now and again with noises that once amused you.
You don’t watch telly on it – you have a telly for that.
The sat nav works – sort of.
You have about 39 hours of unused calls to use in the next 7 days
And you think “What the hell was I thinking?” this phone is costing you £680 for the year!
If there is one thing we all need to understand about phones it is that they are for making phone calls and not a multi-media center. When you look for you phone you need it to work and you need it to be cheap – anything else a bonus and you really do not want to pay for it.
Compare the latest and greatest mega-phone with a 12 month free offer. It makes calls, it has free minutes and texts, it works!
After 3 weeks with your free phone you would like it just as much as the super-duper version except this one is free.
Don’t even think of going into a shop unless it is simply to hold the phone to get a feel for it – do the actual buying online.
Do it bearing in mind what you NEED and not what you WANT. Then find a place that will sell them to you for the cheapest possible price – yes, FREE is good!
Either go to all of the online shops or use a comparison site which finds the deals for you.
Then, blow the money you would have spent on a new multi-media center and act all smug in front of your stupid friends with their expensive phones.
We run http://www.fone-shaq.co.uk
We got fed up with buying expensive phones at inflated prices in the high street and set up our own site instead. We now help people looking for a new phone to find the cheapest possible deal they can (FREE is good) without them paying us a penny.
I run fone-shaq as a hobby site with a view to actually doing something useful for a change!
